LESSONS
FROM EARTHQUAKE
There is no doubt that the devastating earthquake
was a nightmare for Nepalese people as it pushed us ten years back in terms of
economic status.
However, it has brought some positive effects
because after the destruction, there is always a hope of reconstruction. Similarly, the earthquake provided an
opportunity to the people to be a ‘real human’ and help others in difficulty.
For instance, none of us here in Kathmandu had time to talk with our neighbors
due to busy life schedule but this time I knew most of my neighbors and we
helped each other to remain safe from the earthquake.
We saw the power of nature and its destruction so
that in future we would utilize the natural resources properly. People weren’t
aware of the fact that they need to die one day but this time most of us found
ourselves being near to the death. We forgot our selfishness and be united to
fight with the situation.
